57 wines from 15 countries, every one poured by the glass. A gin shelf that keeps on growing, barrel-aged Negronis, live music most weeks and a proper warm welcome, two minutes’ stroll from Sutton Harbour.
North Street No.7 is an independent, family-run bar tucked away in Bretonside. It’s close enough to stroll over from the Barbican, and far enough off the beaten track to feel like a discovery.
Long-time locals will remember us as Cafe Kiss. We kept the warm welcome and filled the shelves: a wine list that roams from Cornwall to the Bekaa Valley, more gins than we’d like to admit, and cocktails we’re quietly obsessive about. Our Negroni rests in an oak barrel right here at the bar.
On warm evenings the big doors slide open, the sun-trap corner fills up and music videos roll on the projectors. The volume stays where you can still talk. Dogs are welcome, and regulars’ usuals are remembered.
Fancy a Barolo without committing to the bottle? Go on. All 57 come as a 175ml or 250ml pour, and the sparkling comes by the 125.
Our gin shelf is the stuff of local legend. Tell us what you usually drink and we’ll pour you something you haven’t tried.
Live sets, open mic, jam nights and music videos on the big projectors. Never so loud you can’t hear your friends.
Everything on our list is poured by the glass, so you can go from Cornish Seyval to a Lebanese red to a Barossa GSM in one sitting. Filter by style or mood, search for a grape, or just ask at the bar.

A short list of classics we’ve taken the time to get right. Plenty of people tell us these are the best espresso martinis and Negronis in town.
Tanqueray London Dry, Campari and Cocchi Vermouth di Torino, rested in an oak barrel here at North Street until it’s silky, rounded and dangerously easy to drink.
A huge selection with tonics to match. Tell us what you like and let us pick.
Cold and on tap, plus alcohol-free beer for designated drivers and early starters.
Any four from the shelf for £12, or go top-shelf with four Patrón for £20.
Flat whites, dirty chai, freddo espresso and fruit-swirled matcha lattes.
We don’t run a kitchen, so you’re welcome to bring a takeaway in. Pick up whatever you’re craving on the way over and we’ll find the glass to go with it.
Pizza, curry, sushi or chips. Whatever you bring, there’s something on our list that’ll make it taste even better.
Tomato, cheese and a bit of char
Salty, crispy and needs something zippy
Spice and aromatics love perfume and fruit
Clean, delicate and a little salty
Big flavours want a big red
Sweet, sour and heat, so think texture
